NAD’s development work promotes a society for all, where persons with disabilities have the same opportunity as others to live according to their own wishes, abilities and interests.
We are an independent human rights organisation of persons with disabilities, and we work for equal rights and full participation for all. NAD has worked for the rights of persons with disabilities internationally since 1981, and is one of the founding members of the Atlas Alliance.
The Atlas Alliance is an umbrella organisation consisting of Norwegian organisations of persons with disabilities, parents and patients that are involved in international work. The secretariat coordinates the member organisations’ international work and contributes to the quality assurance of the projects.
