Participants formulating targets for their action

In order to enhance CBID implementation in Chongwe District  NAD  Zambia Country Office this year planned  capacity building activities meant to build the capacity of duty bearers and rights holders on issues of community based inclusive development in the district. In the first quarter of the year a total of 26 (13 male and 13 female) Community welfare assistance committees (CWAC)leaders were trained from 15-19 May and 24 (9 females and 15 males) civic leaders and local government officers  were trained on 31 January in key concepts of CBID including the UNCRPD and agenda 2030.The expectation is that the new found knowledge and skills  will support  rights holders to demand for their rights and access to services and duty bearers will be able to  better respond to these demands.
