The Norwegian Association of Disabled (NAD) and Diakonia, the Swedish development organisation, has supported the rights of persons with disabilities in Palestine and the capacity-building of their organisations since the early 1990s.
NAD and Diakonia’s Disability Rights Programme (DRP) has activities in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, and is managed by the Palestinian DRP staff within the Diakonia office in Jerusalem.

Palestinian Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs) are involved in all phases of the programme, from design to evaluation.

The Disability Rights Programme in Palestine is implemented in collaboration with multiple partners at various levels, from national to local. The programme builds on existing structures and facilitates lasting cooperation between stakeholders.
